Amazing Summer with Mommy-Part 3

Another amazing thing that we can do together is crafts! We were able to make frames for Daddy and PawPaw for Father's Day and today we created a craft based on the book, The Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. We drew and painted all of the things that the caterpillar eats, then drew and painted the caterpillar, then created a box to be able to feed the caterpillar. It was a lot of fun!

Amazing Summer with Mommy-Part 2

Another thing that is great with having the summer with Mommy is awesome nap times! We get to enjoy naps together and many times it involves our babies and bears and whatever else we are playing with at the time!

The Amazing Summer with Mommy- Part 1

I am very lucky to have this summer completely off with Natalie. We are even more fortunate that her day care allowed us to completely pull Natalie out (=no money!) for the summer, but save her spot for mid-August! Wahoo!
So Natalie and I have been having a great summer. I will try to do several posts on all of our amazing experiences. This post will be about play dates!
As a temp-stay-at-home mommy, I can arrange play dates with other friends and their kids! We have had several play dates with Shelly and her son Caden (who is 3 months younger than Natalie) and Dianne and her grandkids Austin and AJ (who are 2 and 3) We have been to their houses and we also met them at McDonalds to play in the playland and eat happy meals! Natalie actually went down the giant slide all by herself! I think it terrified her though because after that, she refused to go in the playland at all!
Here are some pictures of our play dates with our friends!

It's a Zoo out there...

We finally got to take Natalie to the Saint Louis Zoo, which was awesome- we spent about four hours there, and we were all tired afterwards! This is a late post- we actually went over Memorial Day weekend with Grandma, Pawpaw and Uncle Nathan. We spent the weekend at the Drury Inn, going to the Zoo on Saturday morning then visiting Grant's Farm on Sunday morning. Natalie loved the animals, and so did Nickie and I! In fact, we thought it would be nice to go to the zoo again someday, just the two of us, to fully enjoy the sites. Maybe someday...

You Make Me Feel Like Dancing!

Natalie LOVES to dance- she dances even when there is no music. Tonight, she suddenly decided that doing the split was awesome! Just watch....

Narcoleptic Nattie

Honestly, she is not narcoleptic.

GYMSET (SWINGS!! SLIDE!! AWESOME!!!)

PawPaw outdid himself this time. He and I worked 12 hours straight on this gym set on Monday (Memorial Day) and weren't close to finishing it. PawPaw came over this morning (Saturday) while I went to work, and 5 hours later when I came home he had it almost completely finished! We put up the swings and made some final adjustments after I got home and the good news is, it was all worth it--- Natalie absolutely loved it! Here is some photographic evidence:
