4 years old!?

Seriously, how did this happen? I can't believe our baby is four years old! We have a fun filled weekend planned. More to come!

Cookies and Santa!

Wow, what a busy day we had! First we went to see Santa at the mall. Natalie was shell shocked at first, but we coaxed a semi-smile out of her. I think she was genuinely just star struck. The Santa was really nice and kept calling her beautiful.

Then, after our nap (yes, Mommy, daddy, Natalie and Pumba all took a nap), Natalie made cookies with mommy and decorated them. She loved eating them. It took some convincing to get her to STOP eating them!

Sick Girl

Our poor girl. We've flirted with keeping you home from school the last 3 days, as you've been waking up miserable. Today you told us you couldn't open your eyes. You eventually did, so I don't know if it was light sensitivity or what, but we decided to keep you home today. Mommy has a Dr appointment set up for you this morning too. I hope we figure you out. I miss my happy Natalie! I love that you can smile even when you don't feel well though... I love you!

Mama Mia! Chef Natalie Makes A Pizza!

Nickie had a coupon for a free "mini Murph" pizza kit from Papa Murphy's (with the purchase of a family sized pizza). We decided to take advantage of the deal, and we're glad we did! Natalie absolutely loved the process of making her own dinner. She doesn't even normally like pizza all that much, but after her pizza came out of the oven, she ate the entire thing!

Fun in the Leaves!

It was such a nice day today, we had to go out and enjoy it! Well, out to our front yard, at least. We raked up a bunch of leaves and let Natalie have at it. We all had a lot of fun!

I just had to tell you...

I am thankful for you every single day. I am proud of you every single day.

I love how caring and kind you are.
I love your good conscience.
I love your sense of humor.
I love your nimble way of thinking and learning.
I love your silly dances and the creative songs you make up.
I love your art and your attention to detail.
I love snuggling you when you fall asleep in my arms still wearing your princess costume.
I love being your protector.
I love being your Daddy.
I love you.

Rapunzel!

This Halloween, we decided to take Natalie to "Spirit Halloween" to pick out her own costume. What a pricey decision! She, of course, chose pretty much the most expensive get up for her age, and we couldn't say no, so after asking her about 100 times if she was SURE she wanted it, we got her the Rapunzel (ala Tangled) costume. Well, it was worth it. Look how cute she is! I hope she enjoys wearing it for the next two Halloweens too.

We went to the Fall Festival at Fairview today. We played lots of fun games, got to ride a "train", or as we call it, a bunch of barrels tied to a ride mower, and even competed in our first cake walk!! Sadly, there was no cake won. Nickie and Natalie were both sorely disappointed, so we're going to make a cake later today. The spoils of defeat.
